WORLD'S 100: The Human Family Village ©
World's 1001 or the Human Family Village project is a part of the Human Family Initiative. The objective of World's 100 is to show through the personal example of ordinary people living together and symbolising demographic proportions of the planet that creative cooperation is possible between people from different ethnic, religious, cultural backgrounds. The project will establish Human Family Villages on different continents, keeping within the village population as much as possible the proportions of the planet's demography. Each such village will host about 100 people from all over the world for a set period of time. Villagers' lifestyle will reflect as much as possible the life they actually live at home. They will live and work together, develop their own ways of decision making and conflict resolution.
Inhabitants of the village will share ownership of the project. In diverse societies, where a number of cities are ethnically segregated and some of them are experiencing hostility, the presence and positive local and international example of the Human Family Village might have a significant social and political impact. The Village is intended to become a point of reference and a think tank for constructive initiatives and good governance of human diversity.
Tourist visits will be organized for local / national and international groups including schoolchildren. Costs are expected to be covered by revenues from broadcasting world-wide an ongoing real world reality show about Life in the Village. Tourism and media attention would mutually reinforce each other and create new jobs. The self management of the village will decide how 'deeply' the cameras and tourists can look into their everyday life.
